Hi there….see you again in English Corner in our beloved school magazine, Lokananta. Hope
everything is OK. In this edi on, we are going to talk about millennial era. In my mind, millennial is
always related to modern technology, one of the product is Smart Phone.

Nowadays, almost every one, from kids to elderly, has a gadget called Smartphone. From its name, it
is absolutely right that this gadget is extremely smart. With this gadget, we can do almost
everything. Unluckily, many people do not use this smart gadget smartly. Many people are trapped
on entertainment usage only. Playing games all the me, checking other people status every minute,
and being addicted to social media. In this short wri ng, I want to give some ideas about some
programs that are beneficial for our lives. Check it up.

1. Learn something new, expand your horizons!
Apps like Duolingo, put a complete set of foreign language learning tools in your pocket. A
ton of language learning apps are available, but what we like about those two in par cular
is they let you dip in and out of exercises, and set you small challenges that you can ck off
each day.

A lot of learning materials and prac ce tests are available. We just need to click the seach
bu on and we can laern everything we want and we need.

There's another closely related op on, which is expanding your knowledge in general.
Instead of firing up a pointless puzzle game, head to the Wikipedia ar cle of the day, for
example, or maybe learn a new word a day through the Dic onary.com apps. Go read bite-
sized summaries of important non-fic on books via Blinkist.
Aside from languages, anything you can read about on the web, or watch a video for on
YouTube, you can learn on your phone. Another idea is to refine skills you already have, by
watching new videos about fixing something for example, or catching up on posts about
the latest cookery tricks for the kitchen.

2. Catch up on your reading!

There's never enough me in the day to read everything you want to read - if you catch up
on your reading in the break me, or just before bed, or while you're wai ng for your
friends. For the most basic catch up experience you can simply bookmark ar cles in your
browser on the desktop, install the mobile version of the same browser on your phone.
